Welcome to new Friends and welcome back to old! This year is an exciting year for the school and the Friends, the 60th anniversary!
As ever FOSH will be very much a part of events during this year. We are already busy planning events over the coming year, details of which can be found on the noticeboard and the school website. New to our calendar this year to mark and celebrate the school anniversary we will be hosting our first summer ball. We hope, therefore, to encourage as many of you as possible to support this event.
We are aiming to welcome more parents to FOSH this year. So, if you have attended something in the past or perhaps never been to a Friends' event we hope you will find something in this year’s calendar that will appeal to you.
We have also included a list of Key Committee members on the school website and the noticeboard, these cover most year groups in the school. If you have a question we could answer, as parents, then please contact one us on the email address provided. We will endeavour to answer the question or forward it on to someone in school who can. Key Committee members are also there to welcome you to events. If you feel nervous about attending for the first time or are coming on your own, please feel free to contact them and they will arrange to meet you before the event or to welcome you on arrival.
We would love to hear your ideas and suggestions for new events or areas of school life where we could support one another as parents. Please feel free to email me at annateal@me.com or contact committee members with suggestions. Over the coming weeks we will be posting a questionnaire aimed specifically at identifying the direction you would like us to move in. It is important to remember that all parents are members of the Friends and that the Committee is anxious to reflect your thoughts, as members, in its planning.
