Welcome to Saville House School
One of the most important decisions you will make as a parent is choosing the right school for your child. Since 1951 we have been an independent co-educational day school for children aged 3 to 11 years. Over the past 60 years, our ethos and mission has never varied – they remain the same for your children as they were for the first children to come through our doors. We believe that a sound start in school life is best achieved through a good standard of education and traditional values combined with an enriching and well-established range of activities outside the classroom. Our ethos is under-pinned by our school motto fortier, fideliter and feliciter which translates, from Latin, as fearlessly, faithfully and successfully. Three values which are woven into the fabric of Saville House School and followed by our inspiring teachers, talented pupils and supportive parents. Lastly, we have made it our mission to ensure that all pupils leave us as well-rounded indepedent individuals, ready for their secondary education.
If you are looking for an affordable and local private education for your child we would urge you to visit us to find out more about Saville House and the exciting and engaging start to school life we offer. We look forward to meeting you soon.
Claire See and Chantal Hill
Heads of School
Whilst we have a traditional approach to education we are proud of the fact that we have been able to adapt the education we provide to ensure that it embraces all modern advances in education, learning and technology. Simply put, we use traditional educational values but teach them in a refreshingly modern way.
Our teaching style, facilities and extra-curricular activities ensure that all children are able to lead their own experience at Saville House, this means that all children leave us with their own individual story that has set them up, ready for their secondary education.
At Saville House we aim to keep our fees competitive and value for money, ensuring as many children as possible can have access to a private education. By comparison, our fees per term are 1/3 less than some other private schools in the area.
At Saville House we pride ourselves on having class sizes, no larger than 18 pupils. Small class sizes means more interaction with the teacher and fellow pupils - allowing for big ideas!
